Potential women entrepreneurs entitled to micro grant by winning in the Micro Grant Competition organized under the project “More and Better Jobs for Women: Women’s Empowerment through Decent Work in Turkey” are announced.
In this respect, 28 women as potential entrepreneurs who received training in entrepreneurship and performed successfully in the competition was awarded 2,000 USD each as micro-grant support.
The training in entrepreneurship and mentoring covered 50 women in Konya, 150 in Bursa, 100 in Istanbul, and 100 in Ankara as project provinces and trainees were entitled to take part in the Micro-Grant Competition as part of the project, implemented jointly by ILO and Turkish Employment Agency (İŞKUR) with the financial support of Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
The micro grant support aims to encourage potential entrepreneurs at the stage of starting business and support their initial costs.
